LEGO® Certified Stores (Bricks World) MINIFIGURE(S) OF THE MONTH - LEGO® Star Wars™ Cloud City™ Residents
Bespin's Cloud City™ first appeared in Star Wars™: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back but amidst the action, we only had glimpses of its residents. Let's now take a closer look and get to know these characters more.
Lando Calrissian™
Lando was the Baron Administration of Cloud City™ in 3 ABY when the Betrayal of Cloud City™ occurred. He won control over the man-made Tibanna gas mining colony in a card game using his impressive gambling skills - or shall we say tricks?
He left Cloud City™ to join the Rebel Alliance in rescuing his old friend Han Solo™ but not before issuing a city-wide broadcast warning to his citizens to let them know of the Imperial presence and impending occupation of Cloud City™.
He was the owner of the Millennium Falcon™ before Han Solo™ won it fair and square in a game of sabacc™ by swiping Lando's sabacc™ spare card when he greeted him knowing how Lando cheats and wins in sabacc™!
Lobot™
Lobot™ is a male human with an AJ^6 cyborg construct which he allowed the Imperial army to implant on him to run battlefield calculations for them.
Eventually, Lobot™ became Lando Calrissian's™ partner-in-crime and served as Lando's aide and chief for Cloud City™. He became the city's computer-liaison officer making use of his implants which enabled him to communicate with the city's central network.
During the Empire's takeover of Cloud City™, Lando ordered Lobot™ to gather their security forces to outflank the stormtroopers™. Although they successfully helped evacuate the city by rounding up the stormtroopers™, the city soon fell to the Empire and Lobot™ was captured.
Cloud Car Crew
They operate the flying atmospheric vehicles that patrol the Cloud City™. The cloud car are twin pods connected by a repulsorlift engine and were fitted with light blaster cannons. Each cloud car is crewed by one pilot and one gunner.
Ugnaught™
Ugnaughts™ were porcine humanoids native to the planet of Gentes™ in the Outer Rim Territories. They have pink skin, upturned noses, white hair, and thick layers of jowls.
Corellian Lord Ecclessis Figg™ offered three Ugnaught™ clans freedom in Cloud City™ in exchange for their help in constructing it. The clans were then freed from slavery and was even able to build a floating colony of their own which they called the Ugnaught Surface™, with the city of Ugnorgrad™ as its capital.
