FROM SILVERSTONE TO SINGAPORE

Engines roar. Lights go out. And the chase for speed begins.

Long before today’s high-tech machines took to the grid, Formula 1™ began at Silverstone in 1950, where Giuseppe “Nino” Farina won the first World Championship race. Later that year he became the sport’s first World Champion. The cars may have transformed since, but the thrill of racing and the pursuit of every second have never slowed down.

WHEN F1 MET THE BRICK

LEGO® Formula 1 (392) arrived in 1975 and is widely documented as the first LEGO® Formula 1 set. The 197-piece model featured Shell branding and a simple take on the open-wheel racers of its era.

It was only the beginning. As racing machines became faster and more sophisticated, LEGO® F1 builds evolved alongside them, recreating legendary cars, teams and drivers for a new generation of fans. Because cars and technology may keep evolving, but the passion for racing never stalls.

THE RED 5 RETURNS

Few cars capture early-1990s F1 quite like Nigel Mansell’s Williams FW14B. The LEGO® Icons Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell (10353) recreates the car that carried Mansell to the 1992 Formula 1 World Championship, complete with its famous red number 5.

Across 799 pieces, the model featured working steering, wide rear slick tyres, a detailed engine and a Nigel Mansell minifigure with his helmet, trophy and unmistakable moustache. More than three decades later, the Red 5 is back, proving some racing icons never really leave the grid.

FROM MANSELL TO MARANELLO

From the FW14B to Ferrari’s modern challenger, three decades of F1 engineering have changed what is possible on the track. The LEGO® Technic™ Ferrari SF-24 F1 Car (42207) recreates Ferrari’s 2024 machine at 1:8 scale, with 1,361 pieces, working steering, suspension, a 2-speed gearbox and a detailed V6 engine.

Different eras. Different technology. The same pursuit of those final tenths.

NEXT STOP: SUNTEC CITY

Under the lights and through the streets of Marina Bay, Singapore has become home to one of the most distinctive stops on the F1 calendar. Speed, precision and racing energy take over the city, and this season, some of that action is heading to Bricks World at Suntec City.

We’re keeping the full details under wraps for now, but LEGO® and Formula 1 fans will have something to look forward to very soon.
