UNCONVENTIONAL
LEGO TIPS

Out-of-the-box ideas you probably never thought of as techniques to make you look like a master builder.

TRY USING HOUSEHOLD MATERIALS!

BLU TACK FOR TOY PHOTOGRAPHY

Singapore Photographer Keith Yip (@castleinthepool) shared this neat trick in his Toy Photography workshop. The adhesive helps with posing techniques especially when taking photos of LEGO Minifigures. Follow him on Instagram to get more tips and ideas for LEGO toy photography!

TWEEZERS FOR STICKER PLACEMENT

This will help you place stickers with ease and perfection!

If you would like extra flexibility, you can try putting some window cleaner on the LEGO tile with a cotton bud prior to placement so you can reposition the sticker before the liquid dries off in case of mistakes!

LAZY SUSAN FOR A 360° VIEW OF YOUR LEGO BUILD

This turntable dining staple is a perfect tool when building any LEGO set.

You can also use it for display to easily access all sides of your build especially if it's a modular building. If you want something aesthetic, you can try the IKEA SNUDDA wood lazy susan.

NAIL POLISH FOR MAINTAINING STICKERS

Long-time LEGO fans know that stickers can sometimes peel off due to humidity or wear-and-tear.

You can try applying a thin coat of clear nail polish after putting on the sticker on your LEGO set for it to stay in tip-top shape!

To clear the excess polish on the sides of the sticker, you can use a non-abrasive nail polish remover.

POTPOURRI FOR LEGO FLOWER BOUQUET

Having trouble stabilising your LEGO® Flower Bouquet (10280) set in your vase? Fret no more! Try placing some potpourri at the bottom of the vase for support.

Not only will it help in your flower arrangement but it will also help make your LEGO flowers smell like real flowers! They are also affordable as the ones from IKEA are less than $2 per pack.

SHADOW BOX FRAME TO SAVE SPACE

Rebrickable user Beewiks has many alternate build ideas for LEGO sets to fit in an IKEA frame.

Aside from saving space, it also turns your LEGO sets into art! Check out his alternate build ideas.
