It's Time to Meet The Muppets | LEGO® MINIFIGURES OF THE MONTH JUNE 2022

"It's time to put on make up. It's time to dress up right. It's time to raise the curtains on the Muppet Show tonight!"

The Muppet Show was a sketch comedy television series created by Jim Henson featuring the Muppets in 1976.

46 years later, Jim Henson’s colourful creations still spread a message of tolerance, inclusivity and silliness.

Even if you did not watch The Muppet Show, there is a high chance you'll be familiar with the international amphibian sensation, Kermit the Frog and his squad who are still as popular in today's pop culture.

Without further ado, here's your VIP ticket for a meet-and-greet session with the cast of LEGO® Disney's The Muppets!

Kermit the Frog

Miss Piggy

Fozzie Bear

Head: A custom head moulded for this set which authentically replicates his distinctive head shape, large eyes, and mouth. Head: The ever fabulous Miss Piggy has luscious blond hair surrounding her head and ears with purple eyeshadow make-up that compliment her outfit. Head: One-of-a-kind as it's specifically moulded to include authentic details such as his fuzzy ears and cheeks, cute eyebrows, brown hat, pink nose, and wide mouth similar to his puppet version.

Ensemble: A plain bright green colour with collars printed on both front and back, befitting his froggy nature.

Ensemble: A glamourous pink dress with lavender gloves embellished in silver details.

Ensemble: Fozzie Bear's fuzzy texture is shrewdly replicated from head to toe with prints all over his body. He also wears a large spotted necktie at the front of his torso which is part of his act.

Accessories: His iconic Banjo brings us a cool new addition to the growing diversity of LEGO's musical instrument elements. He also holds a rainbow to signify his hit song 'Rainbow Connection' at the beginning of The Muppet Movie. Accessories: The diva is shown on the cover of a magazine that she proudly brings which is totally on point for her character. Accessories: The greatest, one and only, stand-up bear has his standing microphone and banana to recreate his "world-renowned" 'Banana Sketch' act.

Gonzo

The Swedish Chef

Rowlf the Dog

Head: Gonzo's dual-moulded head captures his distinctive crooked nose and bulbous eyes. Head: Just like his IRL puppet version, chef's eyes are not visible amidst his busy eyebrows. His large nose, bushy moustache, and thick lips take up most of his face. His chef hat is also very detailed and puffy looking. Head: He is featured with an adorable look and a wide smile, just like his IRL puppet version.

Ensemble: This resident daredevil has worn many attires but his LEGO Minifigure has the most iconic and colourful one of them all.

He's cast in a bright yellow chilli pepper shirt that covers his whole torso along with his eye-catching belt, spotted brown pants, and shiny shoes that make this entire outfit an absolute stand-out.

Ensemble: His torso and legs accurately replicates his chef apron, striped shirt, pink bow tie, jeans, and brown shoes.

Ensemble: Similar to Fozzie Bear, Rowlf's fuzziness is depicted through the unique fuzzy moulding to imitate tufts of fur on his head and prints all over his torso.

Accessories: He comes with the love his life, Camilla the chicken, who is distinguishable from regular LEGO chickens thanks to her blue eye shadow and orange beak. Accessories: We know him for his chaotic cooking. So there is no surprise that some of his "ingredients" are very much alive, just like the tomato featured with his LEGO Minifigure and a whisk to defend himself. Accessories: The resident pianist has a printed music sheet depicting the opening bars of Beethoven’s Sonata No. 8 “Pathétique,” which Rowlf actually performed in Season 3’s Helen Reddy episode. It was so good that even the bust of Beethoven went to sleep.

Dr. Bunsen Honeydew & Beaker

Statler and Waldorf

Animal and Janice

Head: Dr. Honeydew's LEGO Minfigure has a honeydew shape which fits his name along with his black rimmed glasses and small mouth.

His hapless assistant has a cylindrical head with bulging eyes and nose as well as red fiery hair.

As a long-suffering recipient of disastrous lab experiments, his head is uniquely hinged to make his mouth look agape.

Head: Being the loud critics of the Muppet show, only the best is good enough for this duo.

Both Statler and Waldorf have impressively detailed head sculpts for their LEGO Minifigures.

Statler's double chin, distinct moustache and skeptic look totally brings this character to life.

Waldorf's prominent chin can be seen even from afar which lets fans identify this character right at first glance.

Head: The hardcore drummer of Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem has a bushy head along with bushy eyebrows, a manic expression, and we can even see a few teeth in his mouth.

We then have the lead guitarist of the band, Janice. She's featured with a unique triple-moulded head that captures her rebel attitude. She also wears a tan beanie, distinct eyelashes, and thick protruding pink shaded lips.

Ensemble: The doctor's lab coat is a bit more generic but is actually more detailed than the actual lab coat he wears on the show.

Beaker wears the same lab coat albeit in a yellowish green colour and intricate shoe printing.

Ensemble: Though their outfits are plain and simple suits, their accessories are a witty jab at the Muppet performers.

Ensemble: Animal's fire-designed outfit is shown on all sides of his torso including his dual-moulded arms and tattered shorts. He has a spiked necklace and bracelet fitting to his rocker aura.

Janice's outfit is festival-ready. Featuring a pink crop top, cut-off jeans and tan flops.

Accessories: This chaotic duo always have fun experiments that tend to go awry. He has a flask containing pink liquid with him, ready for his next experiment that will most likely cause a disastrous impact to his lab assistant.

It is then no wonder that Beaker looks absolutely horrified as he brings along an electric instrument to monitor their experiment. The arrow is also pointing to red, which means trouble for poor Beaker.

Accessories: Statler carries a coffee cup and a 'ZZZ' sign ready to heckle the Muppets on how boring their sets are.

Waldorf has a laptop that shows him trolling the show's backstage manager Scooter online.

Accessories: Animal is ready to rock out with his drum sticks and brick-built drum. The drum also features Doctor Teeth's logo complete with the gold tooth of their leader.

Janice carries her dark orange electric guitar with her, first time for this element!
