LEGO® MINIFIGURE(S) OF THE MONTH May 2021 | 5 New LEGO Marvel Minifigures

Meet Marvel's most wanted. No, not the criminals you are thinking of - but the 5 new LEGO Marvel Minifigures that are getting fans super excited.

The Daily Bugle is a central point in the Spider-man comics, films, and various other Marvel comic series. The New York City tabloid newspaper may not be Spider-man's biggest fan but they sure do cover the action in The Big Apple.

LEGO Designer Mark Stafford revealed in his Reddit Ask-Me-Anything that his original wish list of minifgures included 60 minifigures. Though not every character made it to the final version, he says he is very much excited to share the 5 new minifigures that made the cut to fellow Marvel fans.

Blade the Vampire Hunter

Some might recall the bad-ass Wesley Snipes 1998-film that was the introduction of the human-vampire hybrid which led to two sequels. Soon, he will be officially introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As a Damphir, he is a human with vampire strengths but none of their weaknesses, except for bloodlust. He and Spidey defeated Morbius together and as the villain is set to have his own film, let's hope we see both of them fight side-by-side together!

His LEGO version sports his cool expression with matching sunglasses. His outfit has authentic details similar to the sleek outfit he usually have in comic books and film. Of course, he has his trusty acid-etched titanium blade to show off his skills.

Daredevil

Hell's Kitchen respected lawyer-by-day, crime-fighter-by-night finally makes his first appearance as a LEGO Minifigure. Both hailing from New York, he and Spider-man are friendly, neighbourhood protectors of their fellow New Yorkers.

His red head-to-toe outfit with his hero name initials, DD, accurately matches his comic book and film character versions. A horned headpiece is even included to complete his helmet.

As Mark is a huge fan of Daredevil, he even designed the Bugle's entrance to showcase his favourite character.

Punisher

Another New Yorker hero makes his debut as a LEGO Minifigure. Punisher is his name and revenge is his game (well at least in the beginning).

His cool skull-faced outfit with fully-equipped belt and two heavy machinery would make any criminal shake in their boots!

Black Cat

With these many heroes, of course we would also need more villains to amp up the action. This sexy cat burglar didn't fall far from the tree as she chose to continue her dad's heist legacy.

Her sultry attitude has been replicated well in her LEGO version and we can already spot Spider-man not being able to resist eyeing her, the question is: will their love finally last this time?

Though all LEGO Minifigures come in the same torso shape, the designers have done extremely well in showing off Felicia's curves and high-fashion style. She might be confused as an attendee in New York's fashion given how stylish her outfit is in this version from her white silky hair, cat-eye mask, fur jacket, and white boots.

J. Jonah Jameson

The owner of the publication is ever present in this set. We are sure that he is proud that The Daily Bugle now has its own set and the largest LEGO Marvel set (thus far) at that.

Though he doesn't have flashy outfits like the other characters, he did not back down in trying to shine as one side of his face has a hilarious webbed mouth courtesy of Spidey (who can blame him?)!

If you think these new minifigures are awesome, there's another 20 minfigures included in this set to admire! It's not only the largest LEGO Marvel set (thus far) but it also has the most minifigures released in a set under the LEGO Marvel and DC Comics collection.

See you in the concrete jungle full of big lights and big dreams!
