AFOL Night Recap (Oct 2026) - One last race for the year

Fast builds. F1 know-how. And a Grand Prix set in the distant future.

At our latest Bricks World AFOL Night, the thrill of Formula 1 took over the building table for an evening of speed, friendly competition and creative thinking.

Across three challenges, our AFOLs had to put their building skills and racing knowledge to the test building against the clock, thinking on their feet, and finally, imagining what the Grand Prix might look like hundreds of years from now.

An Exclusive Preview on Upcoming LEGO sets coming to Bricks World

Before we started the night, our AFOLs were treated to a special preview of two exciting LEGO® sets: Sagrada Família (21065) and Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku (11390)

It was a chance to see both sets up close and personal, taking in the details, scale and design beyond what you would normally see on a screen.

A little something extra for our AFOL community before it was time to get to the F1 action.

Round 1: A Race Against the Clock

The night started exactly where an F1 evening should: with speed.

Participants kicked things off with a LEGO® Speed Champions McLaren Solus GT speed build, racing against the clock and one another to see who could complete their model first.

Once the timer started, every second mattered.

Bricks were sorted, instructions were flipped and the McLaren Solus GT slowly began taking shape across the room. It was a test of focus, accuracy and, most importantly, speed.

No engines required. Just quick hands and even quicker building.

Round 2: Putting Their F1 Knowledge to the Test

With the first race complete, it was time to find out just how well our AFOLs knew the world of Formula 1.

The F1 Trivia Quiz put their motorsport knowledge to the test, bringing another layer of friendly competition to the evening.

It was no longer about who could build the fastest. This time, it was about who knew their F1 best.

With bragging rights on the line, teams put their heads together, compared answers and battled their way through the questions before heading into the biggest challenge of the night.

Round 3: The Formula 1 Grand Prix in the 25th Century

For the final challenge, we left the present behind.

The brief? Imagine the F1 GP in the 25th century.

What would Formula 1 look like hundreds of years from now? What would we race? Where would we race? And what would a Grand Prix even look like in a world completely different from the one we’re currently living in right now?

Our AFOLs were challenged to answer those questions through LEGO bricks, creating original dioramas inspired by their vision of the future of F1.

There were no blueprints. That was entirely the point.

Each team had the freedom to imagine their own futuristic Grand Prix, transforming loose bricks into race machines, circuits, environments and stories that pushed F1 far beyond the racetracks we know today.

The result was a showcase of just how differently one idea can be interpreted when imagination takes the wheel.

One Last Race for the Year

From racing against the clock to putting their F1 knowledge to the test and imagining a Grand Prix centuries into the future, this AFOL Night brought our F1 theme to a fitting finish.

But beyond the challenges, AFOL Night continues to be a space for our community to meet, create, exchange ideas and share their love for LEGO® bricks with fellow fans.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Bricks World Suntec City, and to all our AFOLs who have been part of our nights throughout the year.

This may be our final AFOL Night of 2026, but fret not. We’ll be back early next year with fresh challenges, new ideas and plenty more to look forward to.

For now, the chequered flag has fallen on an incredible year of AFOL Nights. Until we meet again, keep creating, keep imagining and keep those bricks close.

See you at the next AFOL Night.
