Over the past decade, LEGO^® Certified Store (LCS) at Suntec City has become more than just a retail space! It has evolved into a vibrant hub for creativity, community, and celebration. Among our most cherished traditions are the annual Lunar New Year Atrium events, each bringing unique themes and interactive experiences to delight fans of all ages.

A Legacy of Innovation and Community

2014: Singapore’s First LEGO Certified Store Opens

So how did it all begin? In November 2014, Bricks World opened Singapore’s first LEGO^® Certified Store at Suntec City Mall, bringing a new level of immersive LEGO retail experience to local fans. The 79-square-meter store featured hallmark attractions like the Pick-a-Brick Wall, interactive play zones, and exclusive LEGO sets. Its launch was officiated by prominent figures including the Danish Ambassador to Singapore, LEGO Singapore’s Managing Director, and Bricks World’s Managing Director. The event drew a large crowd of enthusiastic fans eager to participate in this historic opening and to collect exclusive promotional sets, marking a vibrant beginning for the LEGO community in Singapore.

2021: Grand Reopening — Singapore’s Largest LEGO^® Certified Store (and still growing strong!)

Building on this momentum, the store underwent a major transformation in April 2021 with a grand reopening at a new, larger location on the ground floor of Suntec City’s West Wing. Now spanning 2,088 square feet, it became the largest LEGO^® Certified Store in Singapore. The expansion introduced fresh interactive features, enhancing the shopping experience and reaffirming the store’s status as a central hub for LEGO enthusiasts.

• Merlion Mosaic Wall — Standing at an impressive 3.9 meters, this stunning mosaic, crafted from 92,160 LEGO bricks and designed by Singapore’s LEGO Certified Professional Nicholas Foo, proudly showcased the iconic Merlion, a true symbol of Singapore.

• LEGO Display Wall — This interactive display encouraged visitors to unleash their creativity by designing and customizing their own LEGO creations, adding a personal touch to the store’s vibrant atmosphere.

• Interactive Play Features — Returning favourites like the Pick-a-Brick Wall and Build-a-Minifigure Station were complemented by the cutting-edge Digibox AR kiosk, which allowed customers to visualize completed LEGO sets in augmented reality, bringing the building experience to life in new and exciting ways.

This milestone highlighted Bricks World’s continued commitment to growing the LEGO brand and fan engagement in Singapore.

Highlights Through the Years

• 2017 – Present: AFOL Night — Building a Community of LEGO Fans

Since 2017, the LEGO Certified Store (LCS) at Suntec City has been home to AFOL Night — a special after-hours event exclusively for Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs). Held multiple times a year, AFOL Night has become a much-anticipated gathering for LEGO enthusiasts to connect, create, and share their passion in a fun and relaxed environment.

From exclusive building challenges, sneak peeks of upcoming sets, behind-the-scenes stories, to goodie bags and lucky draws — AFOL Night is all about celebrating creativity and fostering a sense of community among LEGO fans. It has also been a wonderful platform for Bricks World to engage with local AFOLs, strengthening the bond between the brand and its loyal fans.

More than just an event, AFOL Night at Suntec City has grown into a cherished tradition — turning strangers into friends and making the store feel like home for the adult LEGO community.

• 2023 – LEGO^® Prosperity Burrows

To welcome the Year of the Rabbit, Suntec City's Atrium transformed into a whimsical bunny-themed wonderland. The event featured a 5-meter-tall rotating LEGO bunny sculpture, interactive game stations like the Prosperity Carrot Hunt, and exclusive LEGO merchandise. Families enjoyed festive activities designed to bring joy and togetherness during the Lunar New Year season.

• 2024 – The Long Quest for Wisdom

Celebrating the Year of the Dragon, this event invited families on an adventurous journey to find missing golden orbs for the longevity dragon. Participants engaged in activities such as collecting lucky bubbles, building LEGO bridges, and writing Lunar New Year wishes. Completing these tasks earned them "Pearl of Wisdom" stamps, culminating in exclusive LEGO build redemptions.

• 2025 – The Realm of Possibilities

Marking the Year of the Snake, the Atrium hosted an interactive experience featuring stations like the Lake of Abundance, Fields of Luck, and the Village of Blessings. Visitors built LEGO koi fish, collected persimmons for good fortune, and shared their wishes on a 6-meter-tall e-lantern. Completing all activities rewarded participants with exclusive LEGO gifts, making it a memorable start to the new year.

• Seasonal Dioramas

Throughout the years, our store has showcased regularly refreshed dioramas, celebrating various themes and seasons. These displays have offered fans fresh inspiration and delightful photo opportunities with every visit.

Each of these events has contributed to making LCS Bricks World Suntec City a cornerstone of LEGO creativity and community engagement. As we celebrate 10 years of building memories together, we look forward to many more adventures and shared moments with our LEGO family.
