Designer Video | LEGO Creator Expert 10271 Fiat 500

WATCH: Designer Video

LEGO DESIGNER: Pierre Normandin

Celebrate an icon of Italian design

Inspired by the FIAT 500 F launched in 1957 built by Italy's first automotive company Fabbrica Italiana Automobil Torino.

The 1950s marks the Golden Age of Capitalism, a period of economic recovery post World War 2. This iconic 500 (pronounced Cinquecento) was the company's response to the need for a car that was both economical and practical.

This two door, four-seat saloon was an inexpensive, compact vehicle. The true ingenuity of the design lay in overcoming the technological challenge of reducing the size of each component, while still maintaining the 500s youthful, timeless spirit.

Embrace 'La Dolce Vita'

"The design of the Fiat 500 is about simplicity, roundness, coolness, and everything fresh - a sort of representative of that era." - Pierre

Small but mighty, this 960-piece authentic model is packed with details such as a foldable roof, front truck with a spare wheel, rear-mounted motor hatch, opening doors, and reclining seats. The model oozes with freshness with its Cool Yellow colour and thanks to this set, we now have many different LEGO elements in this colour!

Channel your inner Michelangelo as you pack your suitcase and visit the Roman Collosseum for a relaxing painting session.

Ride in style by personalising your own Fiat 500. There's even 3 sets of plates to choose from - one each for Italy, Denmark, and Germany. The one for Italy is TOFO1965 as a reference to the city of Turin (Fiat's hometown), the famous city of Florence, and the year the Fiat 500 F was manufactured (1965). Show off your travel escapades with the luggage stickers which includes flags of witzerland, Sweden, Italy, Poland, Denmark and France as well as a souvenir sticker from the Matterhorn!

Build and display vintage character and Italian style with your very own LEGO® Creator Expert 10271 Fiat 500

Ciao!
